#1: 1.6 110 HDI GTI MOT failure due to DPF removal Author: 3pasties, Location: West SussexPosted: Sat Jun 23, 2018 2:23 pm ---- Just had my 1.6 110 HDI GTI fail its MOT on emissions and heavy black smoke. Had the DPF gutted and remapped year 1/2 ago and has passed its last MOT no probs.
Tester said it was down to the new MOT failure categories for older diesel cars and the fact that if the car had a DPF fitted from new and shouldn't emit any black smoke from the exhaust.
