#1: Later white face dials instrument panel. Author: purrjoe, Location: South CoastPosted: Sun Jul 22, 2018 8:10 pm ---- Is the later type instrument panel, as per title, a straight forward direct replacement for the original black faced version?
I have a 2003 1.4HDI hatch and am looking at a 2006 speedo from a similar model.
Also, will the original mileage on my 206 show up on the replacement speedo?
Many thanks in advance of any advice.

You also idealy need a cluster from a diesel due to lower red line on rev counter.
If the replacement cluster has the oil temp gauge then it won't work until the temp sensor is fitted & the BSI configuration is adjusted.
Other then those points, simple plug & play.
Don't worry About the headlamps coming on when cluster unplugged, just the cars safety logic.

As my car has covered only 40K miles I think the chances of finding a later style speedo head with less than that maybe a challenge !
Again, many thanks though.
