Hatchback 2A/C 1.6l Belt problem.

Hi All,

Hoping to get a little help, Just got my first car, details below>

Peugeot 206 Hatchback 2A/C 1.6l 4cyl
MAR 2005
VIN VF32ANFUR44614611
Air Conditioning and Power Steering


Drive belt screaming, have replaced Drive belt with 6PK1575
Replaced Idler pulley
Replaced Belt Tensioner Serpentine Belt DAYCO APV2547

I can’t find the diagram for the serpentine belt for the 1.6l. All I can find is the 1.4l & 2.0l. My configuration does not match either. I’m at a loss Confused
I have linked a pic to describe why i'm perplexed!

Hello there TU5JP4 friend,

Autodata gives this routing for your full fat setup (I can't look up on mines as it currently has electronic PAS conversion):
 


This is the tensioner layout and part numbers for your 1.6 16v (you can see the length of the belt is 1560mm):

Wow! Sim thank you sooo much!
You have helped me enormously, I think who ever had fixed this car previously had followed a lot of other 3rd part sites and parts distributors, which list the 1575mm belt!
Replaced the idler pulley and tensioner assembly - new belt at 1560mm!

No longer a squealy pig, but purring lion!

I will get myself organised will pics and details now I know about this forum
