I have been trying to trouble shoot electrical issue I have found this on another forum and think is same issue my question is can anyone tell me what pins he is referring to (as if you were telling a child) LOL
this is the post

Over the last 3 months it has been used less frequently maybe once a week for short journey, 15-20miles. Don't know if that is significant or not.
However, it was used one day last week with no problems and the following day I wanted to remove from the garage..upon trying to start it the error message "Engine Immobilizer Fault" appeared on the dash. It will not start but turns over ok. From what I can glean from various websites and a conversation with a Peugeot technician, this issue is related to the car not seeing the correct key. Is that correct??
I've tried several things;
New battery in keyfob [both keyfobs exhibit the same issue]
Disconnected vehicle battery and reconnected using 3 minute rule and following the BSI reset process at least 6 times
Tried to jumpstart from the Vauxhall Vectra
Flattened the battery and recharged to full
New Peugeot battery
.....all with no luck
The keyfobs all work ok and appeared to be synch'd as the central locking will operate correctly
The position is now that the car has gone into "Economy Mode Active" and still will not start. It doesn't display "Engine Immobilizer Fault" anymore but I suspect that it is hidden behind the Economy Mode message. How do you get the car out of Economy Mode Active to get back to my original fault message

Fault fixed!!!
Trace multiple wires as per a previous posting on this site for a No comms issue to the ECU.
Turned out to be the wire in the previous post. Engine bay fuse box: black plug; pin13 gets switched to earth via pin 3F2 of the ECU. This tells the fuel pump etc to fire up. Put a temp wire in to see if it cured the fault and fired up first time!!!
At the very bottom of the wiring loom within its plastic conduit beside the bottom of the air intake, this red/white wire was broken. Reconnected through and all ok!!!

I too would like to put a temp wire in Very Happy HELP

Well it's not necessary that you have the same fault as he did,but the best way to diagnose such a fault is to scan it with a PP2000,and see the status of the ECU,is it locked or not locked,you can see if the BSI is reading the key or not,as this can be a fault in the BSI and need to learn the keys using the PP2000 with PIN code.
