Plastic Side-trim removal
-> Request a how-to

#1: Plastic Side-trim removal Author: LenniH PostPosted: Tue Jul 16, 2019 4:48 pm

Hey you guys!
I have painted the front and rear bumper in a half-matte black - looks great. But to complete the project, I want to paint the plastic side trims in the same colour. This is where it gets difficult. Exclamation

I want to remove the side trim completely, and according to the Haynes manual, it's fitted with a special adhesive tape. Does anyone know how to remove this confounded piece of plastic? If it can be done at all, without damaging the car - which would be a bit of a faff. DOH!!!

Any ideas?

Pull off and expect the clips to break. I did this a few years back. You can get the clips from Peugeot for super cheap. Couple of quid.
