1999 206GTI heater matrix wiring
-> 206 Problems

#1: 1999 206GTI heater matrix wiring Author: RNRMMSA PostPosted: Thu Apr 02, 2020 4:08 pm

Hopefully someone can help here. I've a 1999/V reg 206 GTI that has been converted to a race car and as such has been stripped out a lot. One thing that had previously been removed that I need to refit is the heater matrix/blower unit as during wet races the screen just mists up massively.

I've got hold of a heater unit however the heater wiring loom connectors don't seem to match up with anything on the car main loom. The chap who originally converted the car labelled connectors helpfully but his doesn't match.

The main loom that has been labelled ac/heater is a 16pin black connector.

Whereas the heater box has 2 connectors, a 6 pin black and a 6 pin green.

I've consulted google thinking I've bought a newer and incompatible hearer box, however they all seem the same.

Any help greatly appreciated.

You have a non plexed 206 which was originally fitted with digital climate control.

The climate control wiring is different to standard heating or aircon systems that where also used on the 206.

Brilliant :(... thank you though!

I'll just take the power and negative from the 16 pin plug to power the fan then. Only need to get it blowing air at the screen!
