Someone save my soul...for I've bought another 206. Max power styles, apparently been off the road for 11 years - Gold Dturbo 52' plate hatch. 66k miles on the clock.

I don't know a great deal about this car - the owner who did it up sadly passed away in 2012. The gent I bought it from told me everything he knew about it, but if anyone happens to know anything about it do let me know!

Any information on the dw10 engine wouldn't go amiss, plus suggestions! It needs a fair bit of work but right now I'm going to prioritise getting proper 206 front seats fitted in it, as there's only one bucket seat fitted using what looks like threaded rod and steel box section.

First up for it is MOT prep and recommissioning. Fluids aren't terrible, the car was dry stored for 10 years at least, I'm liable to put some fresh oil in and take it for an MOT. Currently it 100% needs two front seats, and almost certainly needs the steering wheel replaced, as an aftermarket one without a airbag is fitted. Brakes are corroded but only minor surface rust. If it can get through an MOT I'll be happy!

Here's some better pics - Seats are now out and actually bolted down and foldable seats from a 206cc fitted

Is that your Toyota Material Handling Service van?

No, that's a neighbours. Nice little van... Too small for me though!

A head-turner for sure:)

Curious how the exhaust got centered, most probably at the expense of the spare wheel.

My DW10 hasn't skipped a beat over the course of nearly a decade, no wonder these lumps receive the "like a tank" labels.
Supermarket diesel caused some juddering while driving, and crankshaft pulley has seen its demise (along with the alternator), but no problems stemming from the engine itself.

Oh and the 90->120 BHP remap added the most smiles per miles:)

It sure is. Too low though, the body kit hits every speedbump!
Yup, spare wheel is gone!

That's reassuring to hear. She passed her first MOT since 2012 just the other day - second time round. Clean sheet!
Still waiting on the v5 atm... give it till I'm back from richmond and then I'll throw a v62 in.
I'm struggling to find anyone willing to do the timing, one quote so far and that was £532.. I'm tempted to have a crack at it myself.
Might need to if I want to try and drive it down to prescot for pugfest!

My first (and only) belt change experience was 5 years ago on a 16v 1.6, it wasn't overly difficult and lots of wiggle room, the CC still drives to date:)

DW10 is still not as wide as the GTi lump, should be also doable, it's a SOHC too. Hope you'll make it down the 'Fest:)
