#1: Charging light coming on with warning bleep Author: MickyP, Posted: Fri Sep 01, 2023 12:32 pm ---- Normally I get three 'peeps', then the ecu light comes on, or the door's stuck open, or I'm told to stop, or whatever. But recently while driving I got the 'peeps' and the battery charging light came on - nothing else. I thought the alternator belt may have snapped but it hadn't. Turning the engine on and off restored it to normal running.
It's done it twice now, maybe 50 miles apart. Any thoughts?

Funny thing those alternators, our current one doesn't charge during colder seasons, until you blip the accelerator. For this reason I bought the voltage meter and USB charger all in one: www.amazon.co.uk/gp/pr...B0B7DTZTJW
But it's been like that for a couple of years already, no degradation, touch wood:)
