Found this on the first page of searching for: head gasket change in the XU Engine & Gearbox Service and Maintenance only from 2006 onwards....and there's 23 pages of results Wink

Wonder if this link works..?

As far as i'm aware it's a proper cooooooont of a job. Have you posted up on 205drivers/psooc to see if there's someone who lives near you who can lend you a hand for some beer tokens?

Right, finally an update Embarassed

Been out today and started to get stuck in.... we have the inlet manifold off now and G has just gone off to get a T55 for the headbolts.

If we can get the head off today then it will be a success! Smile

Bit by bit is the way forward. You'll want to cover the block and head some-how whilst the head is off to stop water getting into it! Clingfilm might do the job nicely.

Nope head still isn't off Sad once we started removing parts, we realised that she needs more work doing to her than first thought.
At the moment she stands with no front end, everything removed but the engine.
End of this month we are getting a mass load of parts including 3 1.6 engines, so plan is most likely now to be to do a swop on the engine and rebuild the one which is in it on a stand.

Soo are small little project has pretty much become a complete restoration project.
We need to get out and get some more pictures of our updates, just been really busy, i'm hoping once i finish uni at the end may/ begin of june, i'm going to have more time to work on her, but we haven't got an end date yet.
