probably should have mentioned earlier but it might be a good idea to replace the idler pulleys at the same time for piece of mind.Whilst the timing belts off etc!

#54: Re: The Howey's Project White Retro Classic Author: mattievrs, Location: LeicesterPosted: Thu May 06, 2010 4:01 pm ---- still dont see any headbolts mate!? Youll need some new ones as theyre stretch bolts and arent re useable.
#55: Re: The Howey's Project White Retro Classic Author: Howey, Location: Kings LynnPosted: Thu May 06, 2010 4:18 pm ---- Eurocarparts dont have them

#56: Re: The Howey's Project White Retro Classic Author: Brian, Location: VVT Land, FifePosted: Thu May 06, 2010 4:23 pm ---- I'd get the gaskets from pug but a water pump is a water pump?! AEP Direct are very well priced most of the time. I am going to get a set of brand new mirrors for the goodwood for around £29 for the pair...
EDIT: Damn it! I see you've already bought everything.
And whats wrong with a CTI??
This is currently for sale
(will probably never be for sale )

Also, there is massive variation with water pumps as I found out. Buy Peugeot mate!
#58: Re: The Howey's Project White Retro Classic Author: Brian, Location: VVT Land, FifePosted: Thu May 06, 2010 4:57 pm ---- Last one's Henry's yeah. Ocht well. I've never heard many stories about a bad water pump...se la vie.
#59: Re: The Howey's Project White Retro Classic Author: Howey, Location: Kings LynnPosted: Thu May 06, 2010 5:13 pm ---- It only looks nice because its white!
Im getting all the stuff from Eurocarparts because I have a mate who works there! I'm also acting on his advice as to what is good and what isnt... I was having a chat with him and he reckons the parts I have bought are to OE spec so it should be all good!
Does any one have any ideas where we can get the strech bolts from?
