#1: My OEM modded 206. Author: tRiCk, Location: Mitcham PostPosted: Sun May 09, 2010 2:50 pm
    ----
It would take for ever to do a write up on all my mods but i'll list them all.

I bought the car on the 13/08/2008. It had a wicked spec,
Electric windows with one touch drivers side, Electric mirrors, Climate control, auto wipers, auto lights, standard alarm, trip computer and the secret compartment under the passenger seat. (I know it aint a secret on this site)
It was lowered on some 15inch fox alloys that were curbed all over, and the N/S/R door was stuck deadlocked.

So the 1st thing I bought for my car was a door lock.

Then I bought they alloys,

painted the calipers at a later stage.

My next mod was a peco back box,

I didnt get a pic with this fitted as my none sport rear bumpers did stay long. This was its for sale pic.

Then I needed some sounds. I got a 12" fusion woofer, amp, and wiring kit for my girlfriends mums mate for a whole £25 he wanted to chuck in some neons but they were no good to me. I had a jvc headunit from my old 306 dt which started life like this for £250

Ended like that for £650 the black bonnet was a mistake Embarassed failed the mot horribly.

Anyway heres a pic of the jvc,

kd-avx11

As you can see it the pic I have a gti steering wheel.

Christmas time that year I was stuck indoors bored eating quality streets so guess what I done lol.

green needles. POOR mod to look at but they looked ok lit up.

One night browsing ebay I saw some gt bumpers, I phoned the guy and collected from wales the next day for £250. I got them painted for £50 at work when we still had a bodyshop. Its now closed down Sad

.
Last pic is at a meet in porthmouth where I met ali h etc.
Also shows my ultra black led rear lights and my 106 sp kit janspeed rear box I found at work and my phase two boot strip Laughing
[

Then I got the black ultra angels. These are my only 2 non oem mods

A mate at work gave me some sp pedals (no SP accelerator pedal still Sad ), sp bonnet grille, sp grills for the front grill.

I also bought a bonnet strut and k&n panel filter by the time of this pic

I then got some 307 GT front calipers(its the 307 with the 180 engine) so from this

to this

the discs are 302mm

I got my front fogs painted

melted them abit Embarassed

Got a gti 180 gear knob

I went to Castle Coombe track day with Ape, Mega, Crazyboy, Quicksilver04
you tube
vid of me being chased on the track by a cheekychento

After this I went track mad I wanted a faster car and found this Ew21j4 engine, its a 2.2 16v engine very similar to the 180z 2.0l engine

Shocked
It had loads of water in the oil, must have been sitting at the scrappy for a long time. Aftre an engine rebuild reusing tappet and cams

So after a lonnnnnnng winded engine conversion done 90% myself 10% went to friend at work who did the gti gearbox rebuild as i had not done 1 before. Gearbox was modified in two ways. I had to fit a gti 180 exhaust manifold for clearance issues (supplied cheaply by dillon, good man he even helped me hold my engine in place whilst I tried to see if it fitted) with that fitted it forced me to fit a gti 180 throttle linkage

I also fitted a deisel 5th gear ratio for better fuel economy on the motorway it drops the revs lower a 70 than it would have been standard.

So this was my happy day, I final got the engine running on gti 180 engine management.
Also a £300 janspeed cat back has been fitted
The engine wouldnt rev due to the 180 management not being compatible with the throttle body, I bought a 180 inlet manifold and throttle body from jamie for a decent price.

The car now looks like this my bank account is drained so taking a little modding break to recover car looked like this

for 1 day then a scrappage scheme 306 came in with these so swapped them with the nimmys that I fitted as my old alloys didnt fit properly with my coilovers which turned out to be s**t!!

more to come, thanks for reading Razz

OEM+ Maybe not standard but all parts bar a few uprated, are from a Peugeot of some sort.

206 take over ftw!! I havnt had the car on a rolling road yet, its pretty quick not anywhere as uick as it will be when remapped I expect thou as the engine ecu thinks the engine is a 2.0l.

i have a long list of things I want to get, I still need to get my rear bumper resprayed, I need a remap, need a 180 rear axle, bilstein b6 dampers/eibach springs, full leather interior, gti door mirrors and get my poxi rear view mirror stuck back on. A New sound system would be nice too. A couple other trick bits aswell.

The dampers' moving part (the rod) broke and popped out the damper after 500ish miles, they were shot when i fitted them but looked like new, il never buy 2nd hand suspension again.
the make was nex.
