Did you ever get those carbon fibre trim bits finished? Any chance of some pics?

Oh and I thought it was ste who got his roof sprayed and Jord who got it wrapped?

im still to finish the centre console. the clock surround is just bloody impossible though!!!

but ive done gear surround, door handle surrounds and side air vent surrounds.

ill have a chin wag with jord, i remember hearing that its hard to get the finish looking shiny.

Well, thought i'd give a quick post listing my future plans for the pug, so:

-> Gloss Black Vinyl Roof - Might Have It sprayed later if i like it.
-> Sort My headunit wiring out, nice and cheap.
-> get rid of that gash gear knob!
-> Black mesh zunsport grill

then we get onto the bigger stuff...

->Interior Retrim. Either grabbing some seats out of the Megane f1 or a porche or something equaly nice.
but most likely, just having my standard seats and door card inserts tastefully retrimed in leather. either light tan or black (with black perforated centers) or a two tone of both.

might even have the top of the dash and pilars covered in alcantara aswell. but seats first. pillars ill do myself.

-> Exhaust, nothing too epic. im not looking for insane BHP boosts, this car was intended to be a quality cuise machine.

-> A few panels could do with a tidy up and respray due to stone chips an a nasty scratch, isnt too obvious but it bugs me.

thoughts, sugestions and comments always welcomed and considered.

stay funky people.

what gear knob do you mean the sp one?

and getting the dash done in alcantra is expensive if its the real stuff. i done a Audi R8 door card once cost £1400!!!!!

but i like the ideas mate sounding good!

yea the dash could cost big bucks. so, im still open to alternatives there. the dash will be the last thing to be tackled no doubt lol.

but the retrim is something very high on the upcoming list, trying to get quotes at the moment so i can get saving.

and yea, the gear knob in my car is like, half leather, half chrome. the gear shift plate is chrome too. and other than looking a bit cheap, its deadly when the sun hits it, actully blinds me.

see?

so im looking at replacing the knob with either something like this:

or just a full leather version of what i already have.

the ball could look quite classy i think, but i need to see what the stick is like under the current knob, if its all scratched and uggly, then, it will sorta ruin the effect.

gunna respray the chrome plate too.

tbh mate get a SP one and if the stick is a bit scratched why not cut it down a bit?

why not look at a flocked dash instead of alcantra?

yea, the sp one has the manual gears written on it though.

ill be brave this week and try pull the knob off - without smashing my self in the face - and see what the situation is like.

i thought about flocked, but its a bit track car and rough for the style im going for.

sorta trying to get the racelook but with that little OEM subtle luxury type feel. clean, sporty, simple, but with that little something special to it.

so ill look at suede, fauxsuede and all these other alternatives. or even just a good interior cleaner to take some of the shine off the dash.

that audi one was always going to be expensive, especialy on the R8 - the optional extras on that (which everything is) are just extortionate.

hell, something like this would do nicely.

www.meanmachines.biz/s...e=googleps

doesnt need to be expensive. just dont want it blinding me! and not look too tacky and cheap

good point about the SP one lol didnt even think!

the audi was done off the extras thing he decided after. fauxsuede probably the best bet.

looking forward to me new black mesh grill though.

that bloody cat i hit on the way to trax f****d up my standard grill and broke a bracket on my fog light.

so i need to get the bumper off soon anyway so i can finaly sort it out. will switch the grills then.

and yup, faux suede is the way to go on the dash i think. is pretty damn cheap so could probably have a go at doing it myself.

bit of patience and some help from my dear mother - shes made a few chairs in her time heh.

ah well, seats first. time to get saving.

hey guys, im in a good position to snag some subaru impreza sti front bucket seats for well under £100. bit tatty, but i have the intention of getting them retrimmed anyway so that doesnt bother me.

question is, whats my best bet on getting them to fit? having the subaru frames modified to fit the pug, or haveing the pug ones modified to fit the scooby seats?

cheers guys.
