hello everyone, i am new to this site and new to driving, i am currently waiting to take my prctical test and i have a 206 's', it is my first car as i am only 17, i have a couple of questions i figured i could ask for advice on....
1. Does the 's' actually make a difference to the car all i know about it is its a 1.4 and produced in 2004? any help could be great!
2. i love the way the 206 is designed and looks, however at the moment it is currently on 14'' alloys and it looks like its on stilts! is there anyway of modifying the way the car sits with as cheaper cost to me for the actual modification and insurance?
3. Finally what modifications could i make to improve the look inside/outside of my 206, again with as little damage to insurance or myself!
sorry i sound like im being a right tight a**e but im on a limited budget considering im a student with a part time job!
any help, hints or tips would be much appreciated!
thanks all

1. S is a trim type. there's loads... Google it
2. No... Stock Alloys are best... though you could put 16" Nimmies and claim they were from stock... But i'm not condoning that
3. Oh... all sorts.... Seriously mate, there's so much. Browse around the "garage" to get some ideas... there's some amazing cars on the site.
and don't worry, i'm a tight git too
Oh... Welcome to the site

Lower it and get some new alloys, most people prefer peugeot ones but some aftermarket ones are nice depends on what you like. but as ash said 16'' Nimrods are probably my favourite (as i have some ) and as for what mods you can do....where to start have alook round and see what things you like on peoples cars, if you want to know anything just ask people and they will be happy to help but good place to start is colour coding your bump strips if there not already and looking at some new alloys.
Welcome to info

welcome to 206info If you want more info about mod's my best advice would be look around the site. See what other people have on their cars etc. And use the Search option to help answer your questions before creating a thread.
if you want to add mod's I think the cheapest option would be Adrian Flux, they have a special insurance for modified cars that I'm pretty sure you will be eligible for. As a member of info you used to beable to get a small discount with them as well... but I just had a look and unfortunately it looks as though the discount is no longer available.
The current discount is a beauty, 20% off with Sky Insurance who specialise in modified and club member cars... unfortunately they only insure drivers from 19+
I'm not familiar with the 1.4S, but I'm guessing it will most likely mean they've given you a few sport extras. Do you have a mesh grille / vent? The body work might be more sporty (bumpers mainly) and the interior might be nicer.
And if you want to lower the cost of mods, think about perhaps buying second hand lowering springs on here, people are always selling a wealth of second hand car mods. You will also beable to pick up a good set of alloys, but never expect a good set to come cheap.
As far as modifications go, i'de recommend making sure the insurance company you are going to go with will cover your car first. Its dangerous water getting hooked on mods that you later find out aren't possible, the last thing you want to do is invalidate your insurance so always check with your insurer / future insurer.
Lastly, get some pics up of your car, then we can tell you more about it!
