Basicly my car corners like a boat! Its an 06 verve model, 1.4L petrol (if that makes a difference?)

I would like to know what things can be done to improve this. I'm far from rich so I would like to know how much of an improvement each upgrade would make to the car, and how much it would cost. A sort of price to improvement ratio would be nice Smile

I want to spend the least that I can whilst still getting a noticeable improvement. So fire away with your suggestions please..

Change the springs and shock absorbers & the rear ARB for a GTi180 one, that would be the first few things to do. Just don't drop it right on it's a**e as then it will corner and look like a boat Laughing

I'm new to all of this man. Whats an ARB? And do you have to change both the springs and shocks at the same time?
Just passed my driving test, just bought a 206 !!

Adjust the torsion bar, (Get a garage to do this if you have no idea)

Bilstein Dampers all round, Eibach Sportline springs. Amazing set up.

You can just have springs (I again recommend Eibach sportlines), and then change the dampers at a later date, but i would do it all at once if i were you.

Okay, I'll change them all at once. And I'll be getting a garage to fit everything.

Which online shop would sell these Eibach springs and Bilstein Dampers for a good price??

coil overs would be a cheaper option while still providing a decent improvment

Speaking from Experience? Which ones have you got?

I found a friends 206 on coilovers was a horrible drive.

I'd only get coilovers if either, they didn't offer any other alternatives for that type of car, or being adjustable you were actually going to adjust them (a track car for instance). A decent shock + spring combo does great on a road car.
Don't argue the opinions of idiots.

Strut brace does next to nothing on a modern car with a rigid bodyshell like the 206 has.

I agree! Especially as the struts are also quite close together on a 206.

Does it really handle badly? My standard XS handles brilliantly, easy to chuck into corners and it sticks!
Do you have aftermarket alloys?

The difference between the standard set up in my old 1.4 8v and the Bilstein/Eibach set up was immense and would recommend it to anyone!
