10w40 oil mobil is what me and howey use and it's really good
Bosch super 4 spark plugs
Most likely won't need a fuel filter as they are in the fuel tank and don't need to be changed
Don't forget get the sump plug as well as the washer.

Are you not supposed to use 5w40 oil in a GTi?.
You don't have to replace the sump plug, as long as you don't damage it when you remove it.
Good shout on the Bosch Super 4's, I can vouch for these.

Well it depends on the mileage of the car, the higher the mileage the thicker the oil (such as 10w40) should be because of engine wear, and therefore need the thicker oil.
If it's low mileage the thinner 5w40 will be better

90% of engine wear occurs before the engine is up to temperature, so thicker oil is going to better for worn engines

90% of engine wear occurs before the engine is up to temperature, so thicker oil is going to better for worn engines |
or thinner oil to give faster oil circulation to prevent start-up wear?
not mean to mess around but it seems that every people said different thing when come down to the choice of engine oil
