Really pleased with my HDI turbo. Plenty of torque and runs pretty smooth, obviously not as quick off the line as a petrol variant but who wants to rag their car at every set of lights? Clutch seems fine to me and I've driven a few cars in my time! Standard 206 problems - squeaks, etc. Good on the motorway and good with fuel if driven well.

Had my 206 1.9 HDi turbo for six years now - bought to replace a 205 1.7 diesel with 132,000 on the clock.
At present it is doing a 100-mile-a-day commute, on a main A-road with only a few short stretches of dual-carriageway, and 22 roundabouts each way . Since August 1 it has averaged 54.8mpg, and on a trip from the Midlands to Crawley and back - all motorway - it averaged 59.5mpg.
I've put the Road Trip Lite [link opens in iTunes] app on my iPod Touch. It's a really useful free App which keeps a record of how much fuel you use, the cost and the consumption figures. A paid-for version lets you keep a record of all your expenses.
The 206 is not often driven hard but my wife, whose own car is a 1.7 Puma, describes it as "no slouch" when it comes to overtaking, though she does find the narrow power band, compared with her own car, means you have to be in just the right gear before you even think about it.
I've no plans to change it until I have to!
