I have a 1.4 lx,
I was just wondering if you could easily wire up a GTi alarm, or would you need a new ECU, BSi update, and other things???

Why a GTi alarm? Only one that is CAT rated is the GTi180, and that won't be neither if you fit it.
And 206 alarm will work as long as it matches your electrical system.
You won't need a new ECU. Not 100% sure on the BSI update, but you should be able to do it if you are pretty confident with electrics.
