My headlights are h7, but the car is a phase 1, i thought h7 lights where the newer fitting?

Ph1 GTi's also came with Crystals. H7 isn't the light type, it's the bulb/connections

Its a y reg 2001....
So does that mean they would have come standard with the car? I always thought owner before me fitted them

a lot of people with preplex cars are always after converters / new plugs. as most dont have h7 on only h4.

Some xsi's also came with crystals and h7 instead of h4
