Hi,
I have a 206 HDI 2.0L DTurbo and recently I have been having problems with my water level in the water tank.
The problem is that I am having to constantly top up the water tank almost on a daily bases! The water level drops so low that the warning light on my dash lights up. What is weird is when I'm driving the car the warning light turns off and turns on again when I'm stationary.
I have taken the car to 2 garages who both said they cant seem to find anything wrong.
This problem seemed to occur after I had my Heater Matrix and Radiator replaced.
I was told that it could be one of the following:
- Early signs of head gasket failure.
- A hole in a water pipe that expands as pressure builds up.
- An air bubble that expands when engine heats forcing water to escape from the water tank cap.
I personally have no idea on what it could be and am hoping someone has an answer?
Many Thanks,
Harvey

Check the oil level isnt rising
Check the oil isnt creamy / mayo like.
Top the coolant level up & fit a new expansion bottle cap, there cheap enough new from Peugeot / Citroen.
If the level still drops get the coolant system pressure tested, that will soon show if / where there's a leak.
