Got a 2004 XSi with an alarm that is randomly going off! What's usually the cause of this and where do I start to diagnose it.

Try replacing the ultrasonic sensors, or could be a dying battery?

De-activate the internal sensors by pressing the button near the handbrake. If this cures the problem, then the ultrasonic sensors are at fault.
If not, the fault lies else where

,this is the best way to fix a problem,by elemnate the cause one by one,and it's a good start with the sensors as CD-VRS,and Lee
