hey guys
i have some starting issues with my 2.0 HDI Dturbo over the last few months and its beginning to frustrate me.
usually it will turn over several times before starting, sometimes it will start slow and then the odd one or two turnovers will get quicker then it will continue to turn over slowly.
i have replaced the glow plugs, oil and filter and cambelt with no success. i asked for a battery check and it was apparently nakkered but my dad said otherwise and went to a parts supplier to check it himself and he said that the battery was fully charged and the correct one for the car which puzzled me ever so slightly.
usually on a cold morning this will occur but it also can happen when i start it up to leave work after an 8 hour shift. but other than that it starts fine.
i sent it to a local garage for a diagnostic and it came back that there were faults in 2,3 and 4 injectors which got me worried as i know they are not a cheap fix.
so ive decided to try the cheaper methods of sorting the injector problem by using cleaner but again this has done little to improve the starting of the car, it does sound fairly lumpy once it starts and it smokes something rotten too but again only after it starts.
i am considering sending my injectors off to be refurbished but is it worth taking the car to a proper peugeot dealer to get a precise diagnostic? or can you figure out what it is.
also when it starts up a fault will pop up on the display and so far its only been airbag and ABS faults that have popped up when it starts on a cold morning.
i hope someone can make some sense out of this, because its driving me to the point i want to flogg the car.
cheers
Drew

i don't think the HP pump fault are common? as they are freaking expensive to get a new one lol
but the in tank fuel pump tends to destroy itself over time though
re-cond injectors is not that expensive anyway.

when the low presure starts to give up it couses the high pressure to suck harder and gives up over time
ive seen afew go but mainly in boxers and relays, once in 406

if the low pressure pump is gone could i check by opening the fuel filter and check if there are any copper bits floating about or is there another way? it sounds pretty healthy to me but i dont know how a pump should sound.
