hi everyone,

When driving my 206, there will be a loud knocking noise coming from the front. It will sound more obvious when driving in slow speed and uneven road surface. However it sounds as well on the motorway (high speed) and whenever the vehicle come to a stop. The droplinks been replaced 2000 miles ago and i hope someone can give me an idea the source of the problem or a way the check it.

If i need to replace the wishbone arm or top struct bearing, anyone got any idea what sockect size i need to removed the nuts. Cheers!

Try replacing the anti roll bar link rods, i had a similar problem, its fairly easy to do and i got some off ebay for about £15, took about an hour and a half to do as they were rusted right on but wasnt hard by any means

Mines doing exactly the same at the moment. Fine one day, knocking its t*ts off the day after. I changed my drop links about 5-6 months ago. I wouldn't have thought they would have gone already but pot holes are everywhere. My top mounts were changed at the same time. May be wishbones or drop links.

Did Change the drop-links (anti roll bar link rods), did check the condition of the rod, seems all alright. Anyway to check if the wishbone arm causing the problem?

look at the bushes you should see them peeling away from the arms as if they might pop out, so try this to check, more noticable with weight on the suspension.

you would 21mm socket for the nuts on the bottom armsand as already said a 13mm to stop the bolt spinning. 17mm for the pinch bolt

strut top bearings will need alittle more 13, 16,17,21mm and a spring compressor Smile

If in doubt, drop a cog and put your foot down Smile
