Hi people without sounding thick or stupid how can you tell the difference betned a 90 and a 110 hdi by looking at and around the car

Doesn't the 110 have a RED 'i' in the HDi tailgate badge, and the 90 have a silver 'i'?

The 110 (GtiHDi?) has a red I and Gti spec body?

Red "i" on the boot, and there's probably some under the bonnet difference too

110 has a intercooler, FAP and 16valves

110Hdi has a rear disc brake while 90HDi is drum

you would know they also have sport gti interior not necesarry a bad thing stevedude the 90 hdi are much easier and better to tune up remap wotever, to be faster than the 110bhp gti hdi's.
Ive also heard the gti hdis arent as reliable as the 90 hdis bullet proof strong engine.

Sport versions don't have GTi on them anywhere

You can get the 1.6HDi engine that isn't the GTi spec

mine had a red i and mines a 1.4 lol dont know if that matter jsut thought id put it out there
