Got some strange rev thing going on when I start engine most of the time there's early enough revs for tick over others it revs up to 2.5

I find those strimmer engines can be a problem too when your cutting grass. Maybe a bit more info about the engine. Petrol, Diesel. 8v, 16v. 1.1, 1.4, 2.0 The people on here know their stuff, but they aren't mid readers.
