right guys i need a bit of help, iv just came in from trying to change my drivers side fog light (as it doesn't work and iv got an MOT saturday), i removed the wheel to gain access to the little flap in the wheel arch but the washer bottle is in the way and makes it difficult to get to.

which brings me to my question, do i have to take the front bumper off to get at the fog light or is there an easier way to get to it?

any help will be greatly appreciated.

thanks

Don't think you need front fogs for the MOT.

You pull the plastic flap in the wheel arch up and it exposes the rear of the lamp. Newer 206's don't have the flap so you have to remove arch liner. 3 mushroom clips, and 2 torx screws under the bumper hold it on. Then you slide it out and it gives you access to the fog light.

A good guide on removing it can be found here: www.206gti.net/gear-oil/

You are not required under The Road Traffic Act to have front fog lamps so therefor they are not checked at an MOT. The same goes for reversing lamps and work lamps.

thank you for your quick replies, its good to know that the fogs are not anything to do with the MOT i just automatically thought they were because of being a visual thing. i will replace the bulb anyway Smile
