hi i have a 206 gti on a w reg ive got a groaning noise coming from the front. i thought it could be a wheel bearing but ive jacked it up and checked for play but there's none could it still be wheel bearing? someone told me it could be drivers side driveshaft could it be that? any help much would be great cheers

could be both some times you can hear a wheel bearing even when off the floor as its not enought weight on it to make any sound, go doe circles in a car park so iff it come and goes if yo go different ways.

Usually happens when you do the oposite of pulling away doesnt it?
