Hi, I was on the forum a year ago with this car (before the big forum upheaval). I never signed back up due to working on what I thought was going to be a long lasting car (A Mazda MX3-How wrong I was!).
Anyway, the MX3 is dying, the MOT runs out in June and I very much doubt it will get through without some major work that I cannot justify being done so I am scrapping it and waiting for the missus (the Pug is hers for now) to get a promotion and a new car and then the little Quikky is mine
I've done a few little things (colour coding the front and rear bump strips-not got round to doing the sides), fixing various things that got bent and broken and taking it off those vile steelies
It still needs a little work doing to it bodywise but nothing major.
Here's how Smudge is sitting at present:
Bad bits
She whacked a pigeon which knocked the grille surround out of line a little and it doesn't sit properly, this has also knocked the washer bottle out of play as well, I'm hoping this is easy to sort out.
The alloys are a bit tatty, but I have two choices: Give them a really good refurb or fit the spare wheels I have sat in my house that I was going to stick on the Mazda (Multi fit 4 studs )
But these would need a stud conversion (easy enough?)
(I've refurbed them and changed them to satin white).
No massive plans for this car really. Tidy up the little bits, more colour coding, lower it (sensibly as it's a daily driver), nice exhaust.

nice work so far!good job on the front/rear bump strip Can I ask how you did them...what I mean is are they removable from the bumper or did you spray them on the car??my opinion I wouldnt bother refurbing them pug alloys..not to sure how easy a stud conversion is though. The white wheels look good...Im on the case of getting some new alloys for mine thinking gunmetal grey?! also hoping to get some much needed pics of mine on here.

Easy fella, give them a yank and they come right off In all honesty they need re doing as the missus has scuffed them a few times. As for stud conversion, I would need to change them from the standard , threaded bolts, to sleeve nuts. And I'm not sure on the full PCD of the wheels, I know one of the multi fits is 4x100, but I'm not sure if 4x108 is the other, so it might be a full hub conversion which would be a complete pain in the a**e.
I'll be doing some research on whether its viable, but I must admit I do like the 5 spoke pug wheels (bargain for £30 with all good tyres-won't say how free I got the others for......oops).
