Hey guys, I have a 1.9D on a 2000 plate non plexed obviously haha was just wondering if anyone knows if I would be able to convert it to a 1.6 or 2.0 HDi lump just so underpowered and not as efficient as i'd like for diesel tbh, not bothered bout havin to put few quid into her as i'v done alot of work and dont want to get rid of the car just want to improve it really. Any advice would be great thanks

best thing you can do is forget th hdi - get a 306dturbo engin and do it that way - easy see it safely running 120bhp for next to no money

So engine and box out of a 306 DTurbo and wiring loom is a obvious call lol, would it be a simple conversion mounts in the same place and stuff?

Fitting the DW10 from the 206 would be the easiest, because the sub frame should be the same/similar, so everything would just drop in. Then just intercool it

DW8 is the 1.9 D
DW8B is the 1.9D with an extra horse, bit more electrical and more efficent
DW10 is the 2.0hdi
DV6 is the w**ky 1.6HDi
DV4 is the 1.4HDi

Didn't know that... I'm guessing mine is that one because could never understand people with 1.9D saying it wasn't economical as i get 55 round town
