it is either one fat ass or two normal weighted people.
I can confirm when no one is in the car, the pipe is 22cm away from the ground.

Have you ever stood at the side of the road waiting for the big beefy car you heard 20 minutes ago to go past, only to find it is a Corsa crawling along, being driven by a baseball capped, spotty teenager, led almost horizontal, with foot to the floor in second gear just to make all the noise?
If you had a performance engine, then i'd say go for it.
At the end of the day it's your money so buy whatever you want. It's not my cup of tea.

no you got me wrong I'm not looking for performance just my feelings I want to get a new one because my current one is all rusty and falling apart.

Sounds as if the middle section is hitting the torsion bar when your tackling bumps.

Although exhaust manufacturer put an upward bend to go around the torsion bar/rear axle part, a lowered exhaust would do this.

I wasn't saying you will get any performance from it, just loads of noise.
TBH you would find it cheaper buying a standard backbox and fitting it yourself (only 1 clamp) and if you still want to make it look different, buy a stainless exhaust tip.

Why don't you stop over the top of the bump and make sure nothing's touch it? Tbh I'd expect it's more of something banging/knocking than scraping, which you'd notice differently.
Light Right Foot FTW!

From the 2 pictures you have put up, on the first one there doesn't appear to be any scrape marks on your back box. Are the humps that you are hearing the noise on the little blips in the road, or the full width ones?

On the second picture, looking at the condition of the suspension mountings, I would be more drawn to thinking the noise was coming from there. While the car is parked up, rock the car from side to side on the suspension, you may hear the noise.

Also, this might sound daft, but check to make sure your wheel brace is secure in the boot. It is easy for the clips that hold it in place to break, might even be worth checking the spare wheel carrier is tight while you're there.
