For those with the hazard lights and lock buttons on the centre console.
Anyone know if its easy to disable the red blinking light, the one that comes on when you lock the car?
I've had a search but nothing came up. I haven't had a proper look at the button yet, but thought I would ask before I break it

Its written in to the BSI software, you would need to look in the BSI configuration, you MIGHT find a setting to turn it off but I dont remember seeing one.

Basically, I bought a gloss black centre console of someone who had an after market alarm fitted and they drilled a hole through the centre console to fit the alarms LED.
So since I dont have an after market alarm, but chose to buy the centre console anyway, I thought I would be able to rig up an led to the same connection as the one on the hazards button.

In the older BSI software versions the led was linked to the alarm status so would only flash when the alarm system was armed, in the newer BSI software versions its linked to the immobiliser status.

Thanks.
I'll have to have a closer look at how it's wire up - may buy a second hand one to play with.

Remember its MULTIPLEXED.
Be careful messing with the wiring
It would be easier to just buy a console without a hole, paint it & use the original hazard button.

If you just want a single hazard switch i've got one as i've changed to the double style switch (just need to get the auto lock activated on the BSI now)
Personally i would leave the hazard switch where it is as it's easy to get too in an emergency for both driver and passenger.

The auto lock feature is
You got rear wiper activation in reverse if the fronts are switched on?
Thats a handy BSI setting to tweak as well while PPS is connected

Going to look closely at it first. Was going to see if I could just remove the wire that lights up the light.

Not got the rear wiper activated. I want the auto lock as it seems a bit daft i can have stuff in the boot and any scroate can open the boot while i'm stopped at lights and then do a runner before I can get out the car.
I know I can lock the doors from the pin on the door, but it's a 3 door and a long way to get your arm back.
Might have to find someone local with PP or have a trip out to see Lee and get the BSI activated so I can make different changes. Quite fancy folding mirrors, but probably don't have the wiring there.
