I have a 99' 206 GTi, and the remote central locking appears to have 2 buttons.. 1 locks and unlocks it, but I can't seem to figure what the other does!
It makes the red led flash on the key.. but appears to do nothing else..
Anyone shed some light on this for me?

Ahh right! Should the car give any confirmation of this, like another flash of the lights or anything?

My Glx gives a chirps when deadlocking but has to be done within 2-3 seconds after locking bith button (1)
Press and hold it and it should work like a panic button and set the alarm off after holding it down.

turn ignition off and remove key then hold said button for 2-3 seconds and it turn's off the interior sensor's so on hot days you can leave windows down a little and lock up the car withought the alarm going off

the led in the dash hazard button will come on IIRC. to tell you its disabled and then you will need to deadlock it for the alarm to still operate on the rest of the car. otherwise you might as well have left it unlocked lol

It SHOULDN'T chirp when deadlocking, your alarm system is trying to tell you a door / boot / bonnet isnt shut correctly
