I've brought some of these bulbs for my ' two light ' style courtesy light but I can't get the led bulb to fit in the map light bit, any advice from anyone who has swapped these bulbs over,

Do I need to get a single led bulb instead of the five led bulb style I have got.

You need a smaller bulb mate they dont fit as they are too long

Needs to be like a flat LED bulb

I can confirm that these fit perfectly (the 5 led style) in my 206 Map light. (2001 Reg 1.4) but they are too large for the 2 light style fitting

I had those exact ones fitted however these LED's will not fully go out (they stay on a tiny bit all of the time).

To get the Map light to go off 100% when its supposed to you need one with a built-in resistor. They are advertised on ebay as "NO Canbus Error LED"

I have now changed mine to this exact one. Its fitted in my interior light, glovebox and boot light. It fits fine for the single light style. But you will need a flat version with a built in resistor (if they even exist) if you want the light to go out 100% as the circuit always contains a small amoutn of current, not enough to light a standard bulb but enough for a LED

see my thread on the issue for more info Wink

Cheers pal, I went for the numberplate and the boot seeing as I had three spare, looks so cool, even the courtesy light looks perfect, nice White light.

The courtesy light seems to go on and off ok so hopefully the map light will too when I get the single led bulb style, I've just ordered one from eBay, £3 odd.
