Sorry to hear about your car. I still think foreign drivers should take a mini driving test before being allowed to drive in this country. Especially lorry drivers.

Totally agree!

The guy who caused the crash has admitted full liability. Good job too, or he probably wouldnt be alive right now. Therefore, he is responsible for both car's he damaged.

Cheers for your kind words too guys, but Im not going to forget this one easily!

Did you put your hazards on when braking to a stop on the motorway? Might have helped.

IIRC on the later models the hazards cut in if you brake hard enough.

That was quite a shunt, shows just how strong these little cars are. Glad everyone was OK. Don't forget to make a note of any uninsured losses. It's the Belgians that will end up paying more on their insurance for this one.

Don't be too downhearted though, a bit of filler, a rattle can, put on an east european accent and I'm sure that someone will buy it.

It would have helped if he looked forward. If I had the hazards on, it would have made no difference. He was facing the rear seats, telling his kids to be quiet. Its a shear miracle he kept the thing straight

Looks like a sizeable insurance claim for whiplash, anguish etc..... you'll be driving an M3 after a claim like that
