since ive replaced the headgasket on my 206 i keep getting a loud ticking once the engine has warmed up. i have checked the gaps on all the tappets about 3 times in the last 2 weeks but there still noisey. what else could the problem be as its getting rather annoying ?
its still running fine and no problems

if changing the oil don't help then that means you will need new lifters

Mine seems to start ticking when its stood idling for more than 10 seconds e.g when sat at trafic lights when its warm. Not too sure what it is.

Shut it u stupid little f**k, what's the point in posting in all my treads being such a c***? Least I can afford a gti180, and to get the cam belt done!

So apparently everyone knows my financial situation? If I wanted a 180 I would have bought a 180 simples Smile

ok i also done the tappets on my mates saxo 1.1 and it came out worse with the info i had
valve clearances are- 0.20mm for all the inlet valves and 0.40mm for the exhaust valves

No.1 exaust valve fully open - adjust No.3 inlet and No.4 exhaust.

No.3 exhaust vale fully open - adjust No4 inlet and No2 exhaust.

No4 exhaust open- adjust No2 inlet and No1 exhaust.

No2 exhaust open - adjust No1 inlet and No3 exhaust.

if it dont scuff the ruff it aint low enuf
