They're anti-hijack/rape locks, mainly for the ladies, but I find it provides a sense of protection.
In the event of a crash, they auto unlock.

Has a gti 180 got this? it doesnt do it on mine, tried holding the lock button down in the car and it still doesnt autolock?

Yes it does. Are you sure you have the key turned to the right place?

Either Peugeot or someone like myself that has the kit to do it
All depends if your BSI is the correct version tho, which you don't know till you plug the kit in

you dont need to have the key in any special position. when the engine is on, if you keep the lock button down for a few seconds you should get a message on the mfd saying its activated. otherwise you dont have the feature and need to do what Lee says
