when i bought the pug the radio would come on when you turn the key once but after i had a mechanic look at the indicators it wont do that. the car has to be on for awhile for the radio to come on. if the car hasnt been used for the night it takes ages for it to come on again and if i have used in the last 10 mins it'll come back on straight away. now i cant get it to come on i have checked all the fuses their fine. if i connect it to the battery it will light up. the clock isnt on either. its an old pug 206 1999 model 1.1. any deas would be great.
cheers me deers

Is it aftermarket or standard?

Are the interior light and cigarette lighter working because iirc they're on the same fuse as the clock and the radio. The bulb could be out on the clock though.

Is there power at the ISO connector on the back of the radio that switches with the ignition feed and stays on with the permanent feed? If so it could be a problem with the radio. You can find out what pins do what in the manual.

So if I understand correctly , If the cig lighter and time display dont then the radio wont work ? I have had the same problem and only just fixed the time date thing and not tested the radio again .

not sure where to start. basically the radio works if i connect it the battery but not through the ignition. my cig lighter works and the interior light works for the doors but not if i want it on. the clock dosent appear to be working either. any ideas. the fuses are fine.
