I took the cover off that covers the dials, and put it back on (with great difficulty) but now half of the rev counters lights are faded and the needle for the fuel gauge is also faded.
Is this fixable? What could be wrong?

Take the cover from around the cluster off, undo the torx screw and pull speedo unit out. The bulbs are in the back of cluster, small twist lock bulbs. Check they are all tight. If they are, then swap a few bulbs around and see which ones aren't working. They will probably have blackened glass if they are blown or you may be able to see the filaments are broken. (though they are quite small)
