Would an error code appear for such a thing?

No because there's nothing wrong happening with the car. The driver's door lock is open so it opens all the others

Your driver door solenoid is goosed. you will have to buy a new 1. I had the same problem with the passenger door. The lock doesn't bounce back up when you lock the door, it doesn't report back that it is locked. Lock the passenger door or use the remote and it will bounce up, because the driver lock doesn't report back that it is locked. |
Yes that's what I would go for too
The c/l will bounce back up if a door is reporting it isn't locked properly. So if driver's door is reporting "not locked" then all door locks will be told "release locks now" So the passenger lock tries to lock but is immediately given the "release all door locks" signal. It's not so much the solenoid itself is goosed as that part of it is working, it's the mechanism inside that reports door locked/ unlocked.
If you take the driver's door card off and then physically make the solenoid pull that little bit further you may find the locks work normally again and prove that that is the one at fault
The same thing happens when people return to their cars to find it unlocked. The solenoid only just managed to pull the lock to the closed position and while they were away it released a little, just enough to trigger "open all doors" again |
Ok cool ill get the doorcards off again tonight after work and see if I Have any luck pulling that metal bar across a bit more, other than that I'm stuck lol.
Thanks for all suggestions guys
