I got a new remote key direct from Peugeot and it only actually locks and unlocks the car remotely after it has been in the ignition. If I come back to the car an hour later the unlock button does nothing. Surely that can't be right, it's a new key with presumably a new battery in it and it took them 45 minutes to code the key to the car. So, how I do manually re-pair it myself to see if that works. If not it's back to Peugeot to complain.

Only works if the key is already programmed to the car, from what youre saying it is.

1. Insert the Ignition Key.

2. Press the small Black button.

3. Switch the Ignition ON

4. Keep the lock button pressed for 10 seconds.

5. Release lock button , switch ignition OFF and remove key.

6. Close all doors and press the lock button 2 times.

What He Said

A new / replacement fob needs to be coded to the car with Peugeot Planet along with ALL the other remote & transponder keys at the same time.

Still wasn't working after trying to air it twice so I took it down to Peugeot and they have it booked in for Thursday for an inspection as there is no fault with the key but possibly with the cars BSI forgetting the key every time it powers down. Thanks for the help. Smile
