when engine is cold there is a huge "crunch" noise when I knock it into gear 2 and the gear changing altogether is very rough. will refilling gearbox oil help anyone know? Cheers.

Could be a worn syncro on that gear.

New box would be my opinion. Can pick them up pretty cheap these days.
