Can this be done? I know there is a thread for 30-40 conversion, so I was just wondering if you could just settle for a clock on it's own, before I go buying one.
I have an aftermarket HU and I don't really care what the temperature is outside, so I thought I'd save some money and buy a single clock.
Cheers
I did search, but I gave up after a few pages.

yer it can be done, basicly the reverse to the how-to on here,
i might even have the plug to do it with laying around if you need one,
tho as above, why want to downgrade?

His multiline display must be broke so he is looking for the cheaper replacement
I'd go with the single line display which still uses the PPT-30 connector

Yeah mine is broken.
Is the ppt40 the single line? I bought one of those off of ebay but dropped it...in a bucket of soapy water lol (mums fault) so I've already wasted £20 on a replacement, but you seem to be able to pick up clock for 3 or 4 quid on ebay.
if anyone had a single line with connector or clock and connector for sale, let me know =)
