just thought, you said it was windy, could it have been one of the rear windows not shut properly, i have a friend whos 3 yr old takes great delight in leaving my windows off the catch (closed but not locked) could it be mb the wind was getting in that way and tripping the interior sensors.

Maybe but knowing my luck it's more likely an expensive fault.

Just buy some new ultrasonic sensors, there cheap enough from any Peugeot / Citroen main dealer.

the only way to stop it going off from wind buffet would be to as said completly remove the alarm

Its the ultrasonic sensors causing the problem, seeing as there cheap enough new from any Peugeot / Citroen main dealer its a simple diy job to fix the alarm.

didnt realise the ultrasonics were part of the external protection, how does that work, as surely it would be a tilt/shock sensor.

i remember in my old nova i had an alarm fitted where i could set how hard it had to be hit before it triggered, weakest was a butterfly flapping its wings nearby would trigger it, strongest was pretty much kicking the pannels.

No tilt or shock sensors on a factory 206 alarm, just faulty ultrasonics that dont like the windows being buffeted by the wind which in turn triggers the alarm.
