just got the car back last week and it turns out cosmicdance is completely right, crank shaft sensor ......... the little b*****d !! car drives 100% and pulls better from low revs due to the fuel filter being replaced also. thanks for all the help guys and i hope this helps someone else along the lines.

That's interesting…

My car hasn't done what yours was doing since it first did it… But i'm wondering if changing this sensor would be of any benefit at all just to make sure :/

My rev counter has stopped working, not sure if that has anything to do with that sensor
