I have my footwell lights linked up to the interior lights and for some reason they have stopped coming on when I open the door, same for the main interior light and the mfd too.

Is there a simple fuse that could have blown Maybe?

Yup, check the fuse box under and to the right of the steering wheel. Your manual should tell you which number fuse it will be.

The switch has 2 different s12V supplies to the On vs Auto settings on the switch, one is constant 12V (still working for you) and the other is IIRC controlled via the BSI (for dimming etc).

Ah, yes - it fiddles the ground for dimming, right?

But isn't there also both constant and switched +12 up there? From what I recall, the auto-mirror HOWTO seemed to indicate that...
