Have started engine and on dash it says "Passenger airbag deactivated" followed by a *beep* "Airbag Fault". I looked at manual and it mentions only to contact Peugeot dealer. Not sure what checks to do to rectify this, the airbag pass is on also.

Anyone had this issue?

Where do you live? I can and a couple of others on here code read the airbag ecu to see what the fault is. Or you can buy a cheap code reader. Don't go to the dealer as they will rip you off. My 206's passenger airbag had an open circuit, under the passenger seat carpet there were two plugs(I think) just pushed them together.

Wrong on two accounts there.

It's either the airbag or the switch, cheap wont read these faults

Switch is on although it says it is deactivated, could this be fuse or anything obvious? Not sure why this error came up so sudden.

Won't be the fuse.

Get the codes read, you're p**sing in the wind otherwise.

checked the wires on the back of the switch

ECU needs scanning, it will pinpoint the exact fault and give you an idea of how to repair it Smile

The thick green/yellow, thick yellow and thin grey wires from driver A pillar has all been spliced and this airbag fault came up as soon after I was re-wiring them. Could this of caused airbag fault, surely no?

If this is the 180 then it will have curtain airbags & guess where the wires run Wink

Nothing wrong with multiplex wiring.

Green & yellow is going to be an earth.

What are the wire numbers for the cables that have been spliced?

Sure you havent knocked a plug for the curtain airbag?

You need to learn how to use it properly before you wreck a ECU Wink

Practice on your own car before
