Own a 54 gti 138.....has been running like a bag of bones for last few months and Im losing the will!!!
Its not fun anymore!!
Code Reader is useless which just says P1336 - surprise surprise
Some times starts fine - other times ecu light, anti pollution, cat fault, aswell as asr light......lovely, no drive above 40mph.
Stop, turn it over again - all fine again - no lights and full drive
Had the coil pack and plugs changed with no joy
Not sure what else to do at the mo, Ive seen all the forums on here and Im none the wiser...
So the question is do I spend lots of Money on trying to get it fixed or get rid?
Its only done 40k
Any ideas would be more than welcome.......
Ta Sad

I think you should read this, as you seem to have no idea what you are doing with the code reader and what it means - www.bba-reman.com/cont..._DTC_P1336

Don't suppose you'll get much selling it. Personally, I'd get all the little niggles fixed - You know those things won't break again for a while then (providing they've been fitted correctly). If you get a new car, more than likely there will be things that need doing.

So with intermittent faults does he bung a crank sensor on it and / or look for loose connectors.

I know Alfas will do a relearn if the battery is disconnected for 30 mins. Will these?

Morris 1000, Austin 1100, Escort Mk2, Fiat Mirafiori, Alfa 33, Alfa GT Junior, Alfasud, Alfetta GTV (2x), Alfa 164 3.0 V6, Alfa 164 2.0, Alfa 75 V6, Alfa 156 2.4 (diesel remapped 200bhp), Alfa 147 GTA (3.6 295bhp), Alfa 159 (diesel remapped 245bhp 300ft.lbs @ 2500rpm)
Why isn't my daughter an Alfaholic?
