I've got to fit a new catalytic converter on the weekend, and need to swap the lambda sensors. Do i need to add any type of sealing product to them, or just screw them in. Also the the sensors are coming from a 180 cat to my 138 cat, will they be ok?

looking on service box it would appear the 138 with a motorised throttle bodies share the same lambda sensors with the 180, But I'm unsure weather all the 138 were built with motorised throttle bodies or not sorry

Don't add anything apart from the metal sealing ring or it can poison the λ-sensor.

Didn't even think to check service box. Mine has a motorised throttle, will probably get this done tomorrow. I'll do a how to if I get the chance. Not a bad job, just tight! Will give all the clamps a good soak tonight.

Yeah its a reletivly simple job made easier if you have drive on ramp didn't take me long, would advise soaking them makes it abit quicker to undo, also a quick tip on getting the exhaust clamps off is to use another bolt and unwind the clamp so it open up enough to separate the sections! Will get a pic later for you of what I mean,
