hi everyone need some sensible advice here please ive owned this car less than a year so far its had new lower arms new link rods new cambelt kit new clutch new rear breaks and hubs and wheelbearings and rear pistons new exhaust .now it needs new front wheel bearings which ive bought but not fitted yet is also started to have a ticking sound coming from the top end my mate rekons its the camfollowers and also says it would be a good idea to replace the cam aswell at the same time a new ca £305 cam followers £140 ish and now i rekon my axel is going due to it clunking over speed ramps or bumps and there is a bit of play there .thing is i love driving this car and the cheep tax etc but what ive paid on trying to keep this car on the road an old jaguar would of been cheeper to run .ive found some refurbished axels on ebay £365 but is it worth my while ??? and whats the tappet sound coming from the top of engine and no it isnt a crumbling pulley or leaking injector its a tappet noise ..so come on people would you carry on paying out or would you of given up a long time ago (serious advice please) cheers

Time to part ex. Some cars you can constantly be replacing parts, as soon as you've replaced everything it starts back at the beginning!
