hi everyone. I recently replaced the gearbox on my pug due to the planet gears giving up the ghost. fitted new clutch at the same time. when fired it up after fitting i all back together all was fine. took it for a drive and eml came on after about 2 mins. plugged it in when i got back and it showed p0105 and p0170 cleared faults and took for another spin round and all was fine.
All was well for 2 weeks then went to local town 4 miles away and when engine got to operating temperature on gauge on dash it cut out at the lights, fired first time and drives fine but will not tick over p0105 code thrown again. so far have changed MAP sensor to clear p0105, changed stepper motor to see if it was causing lack of idle still stalls at lights and will not tick over, my friend has the same engine and have swapped throttle bodies and still the same.
if i take the plug off the temp sensor on the top of the engine near the water hoses to the radiator the car will tick over but the temp gauge goes to the red and the revs rise to about 1500 rpm but it does not stall . there is another sensor lower down on the side of the engine with just one wire on it just above the gearbox. have also cleaned all the earth points on the gearbox. i am now at a loss what to check or replace any help would be most welcome.
cheers in advance Nathan
its french and funky
