Have just sold a sump for £20, if i had known how much they were new id have asked abit more. You should be fine, shouldnt be any internal damage. Mate of mine hit a bolder and smashed his sump on his 306 d-turbo, he drove it about 800 yards with no oil and that was fine.

Sold 180 sumps for £30, don't have any left though. If you know what you are doing may end up not being that pricey if you want to do it yourself

Ive just took one off, quite easy if you have a socket set 10mm and 16mm and torx bits. Hardest part i found was getting the dip stick dissconected. But appart from that was a doddle.

If anybody knows if the 180 sump is the same as the 138 sump then you can buy my 138 sump. |

Someone should be able to correct me, but could you claim the repair from the council provided you weren't going too fast?
After all, there is no need to put tiles in speed bumps when normal humped ones do the job of slowing people down

Replied to your p.m before reading this. You should be able to get to the top torx bolt on the dipstick if you cant get to the bottom one. I had the engine out so thats probably why it was alot easier for me. Mine is a 138 so might be slightly different to the 180.
